xx, Christa

by Christa Black

She's always wanted to sing like me, but the funny thing is that I would die to look like her, like her

And her brother works to be like their father, a little bit braver, a little bit smarter

Just like a good boy ought to be

The grass is always greener on the other side

You think that something's sweeter that you haven't even tried

And we have been so good at pulling ourselves high enough to see over the wall

While we dream about what we miss, we're missing out on life

There's a young girl fighting to grow up faster

While her mother hangs onto days that passed long ago

We're dropping treasure out in search for gold

Cause I don't wanna miss a thing–don't wanna miss out

I forget I can sing when I don't make a sound

Don't wanna miss a thing–don't wanna miss out on peace

Let me rest here knowing I can breathe

I'm breathing

She's always wanted to sing like me, and I know as hard as I try

I'll never look like her

So I'll just smile and start to sing

“I had planned to end my life, but chose to give it one last shot and signed up for the Master Heart Course. I finally found what I was looking for. My life has changed in ways I could never could put into words, being healed far beyond what I could imagine. I have a long way to go, but this course literally saved my life..”
